SiO3P provides trauma-informed mental and behavioral health therapy, support services, and specialized parenting education to support individuals, families and communities through a comprehensive continuum of therapeutic and skill building services. Our approach centers on whole-person wellness, recognizing that emotional, relational, and community needs are interconnected and must be addressed together for lasting well-being. Sunrise Step By Step is a specialized, evidence-informed parenting education program designed for individuals with cognitive or learning difficulties, who benefit from individualized, hands-on instruction due to learning differences, cognitive challenges, or barriers to traditional service models. Using a competence-based approach, parenting skills are broken down into clear, achievable steps and taught in real time within the family’s natural environment.
Services are intentionally matched to each parent’s learning style, functional abilities, and current level of skill development, ensuring that instruction is accessible, practical, and directly applicable to daily parenting responsibilities. The program focuses on increasing safe parenting capacity, strengthening parent-child interaction, and supporting stability within the family system.

The Incredible Years is an evidence-based parenting program focused on strengthening emotional regulation, positive discipline strategies, and attachment between caregivers and young children. Services include supervised visitation, providing social and life skills coaching (budgeting, cooking, housekeeping, etc), connection to community resources, and assistance navigating systems such as schools, healthcare, and court-related proceedings. These services reinforce and generalize skills learned in parenting.

We utilize evidence based programs approved by the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA). Our parenting programs are found on the California Evidence Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare. We offer Incredible Years that is a cruiculum based program for parents. We also utilize the Step By Step parenting program is a highly specified, evidenced-based program designed and tested for parents with intellectual disabilites (and other learning differences). It utilizes a hands on approach to teach essential childcare skills in real time to parents with children from ages birth through three. on parenting program that breaks indivdualized which is recognized as an evidence-based program, is done in real time, and is presented by breaking down the skills into the individual steps used for each skill. This evidence-based parent education program is also recognized by the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare and is recognized as fulfilling ADA requirements for offering adults with disabilities fair and equal opportunities to have parenting education that is designed and tested for their population.
Supervised visitation, connection to community resources, and support for high stakes meetings (IEPS, MH evaluations, Social Security Interviews, etc)
There is an option to have therapeutic parenting education as well as therapeutic visitations for families that would find this beneficial (for example, parents and/or children reading help with stabilizing emotions and/or mental health, trauma, relating, reconnecting, etc).

Yes, all of our professionals have different areas of expertise and are highly trained in the area in which they are practicing. Our professionals are/were teachers, some are therapists, some are social workers, some are in the mental health field, some are in the behavioral health field, and all have extensive experience in their respective fields.
